Achievements:
Daisy is conformation pointed by Catherine, my daughter. Daisy was Catherine’s junior showmanship dog and they went to the AKC Eukanuba National to compete in Juniors. She is a certified TDI therapy dog and often went with me to school to visit my kindergarten classroom. She was also a library reading assistance dog. Daisy has a Field title, Rally Novice title and Companion Dog obedience title. Daisy has earned her Working Certificate and continues to be very interested in birds. She received a Triathlon Award at the 2008 Eastern Regional Golden Retriever Specialty Show for qualifying in hunting, obedience and conformation at a regional specialty show. Daisy is now retired and enjoys being the queen of the household.

Today is my Daisy’s 8th birthday. I know that doesn’t sound old, but in 8 years, a dog has changed so much about my life. Daisy has taught me to train, to show and to laugh at myself. She has taught me to set goals and to work however long it takes to accomplish them. Daisy has helped me raise my children and has raised her own. Daisy has taken me to obedience, agility, field and conformation. She was Catherine’s Jr. Showmanship dog and we all went to the Eukanuba National Championship show together and watched them make the cut. I have learned to whelp puppies and learned more about breeding than I ever wanted to know.
Daisy has picked pockets and stolen a birthday cake. If Daisy didn’t come out of the ring with a ribbon, she lost with style. She has gotten her birds out of the buckets at the WC. Why should she go looking for a bird when there is a whole bucket full right here. She has left the ring in obedience to get her cookies and then come back into the ring to see what we were all so upset about. Daisy rules our house with an iron paw. She is the world’s best mom. She has also been my best friend through Paul’s chemo and my children being teenagers. She has given me beautiful puppies that behave much better than their mom (most of the time).

Because of Daisy, I have friends that I treasure and a hobby that I love.
So Happy Birthday Daisy!!!!! May you have many more. You are the most fun that I have ever had!!!!
